Meal Examples

This isn’t my current diet – this is an example of what I would eat when I was eating clean and carbs were still allowed in my diet.
Meal One: 5egg whites, 2oz meat, 1 wheat toast
Meal Two: Protein Shake, 1/2 apple, 1 tbs natural peanut butter
Meal Three: 5oz of meat, veggies
Meal Four: 5oz of meat, 1c brown rice, veggies
Meal Five: Protein Shake, 1/2 apple, 1 tbs natural peanut butter
*Meat: salmon, tilapia, steak, ground turkey, etc.
*veggies: salad, green beans, asparagus
* Carbs: whole wheat bread, brown rice, oatmeal, 1/2 apple

THE FIRST WEEK SUCKS!

This is the second time that I’ve done a Keto Diet so, I can say with certainty…..THE FIRST WEEK SUCKS! *screams*
*deep breath – deep breath*
Okay. I started my diet on Friday (12/26/08). And, when I awoke on day 3 (sunday morning), I felt as if I hadn’t slept a single wink in days. I not only felt completely exhausted but, I had a light annoying headache that lasted the whole damn day. – Today I’m having the same symptoms; the only difference is my headache is 100 times worse “and” it’s throbbing. In spite of feeling terrible, I still managed to get through my morning cardio. *that wasn’t easy*
I should point out that these symptoms are actually a good thing! They’re validation that my diet is on track and I’m going into Ketosis. I know that it will only get better from here on out! *excited*
So tell me, are you on a Diet? ~ If so, how is that going for you?
I’m an Egg

If you really are what you eat, then…..I’m an EGG! *lol*
I have consumed more eggs in the past few weeks than most of you have consumed in your lifetime. Currently, I am working under the consultation of Dave Palumbo and, for those of you that don’t know about Dave’s diet (for women 130lbs or more), it consists of 12 Egg Whites for Breakfast! Yes, you read that correctly – 12 Egg Whites.

I admit, it was tough to eat that many egg whites for one meal but….I did it! And I must say, it gets a littler easier after about the 8th dozen. *hahaha*
