Although I didn’t workout on my Wii this week, I did do cardio. BUT….I was either too busy and/or simply forgot to add my activity to the Wii Fit Log so, I have no credits on the wii fit this week.

Thanksgiving, I made a cheesecake and my very first whole turkey. And well, I wasn’t too impressed with the results! Let’s just say, the turkey was *so-so, ok, mediocre* Basically, it was edible. My standards might be a bit high but….my dogs thought the turkey was mouth watering *drooling* Perfection!
My Thanksgiving dinner and two days worth of leftovers.

Well, as you can see I’ve done a Wii Fit Body Test everyday for the past two weeks. The highlight so far is *drum roll* I scored a PERFECT 50/50 on my Balance test this morning. *pat self on the back*

I weighed in at 143 on the Wii Fit Thursday and, I’m rather disappointed to weigh more than a pound more this morning. I suppose it can be expected because, umm….well….ehhh….I sorta cheated on my diet last night with a few Rosemary Potatoes. Stupid Water Retention!

On Tuesday I painted a portion of my gym and moved some things around. Then, on Wednesday, Romeo went doodie all over the pool room floor *yuk* so, I spent the entire day Shampooing the carpets myself.

Oh! Another highlight of the past 2 weeks is….My Piggy Bank turned Bronze when I rolled over 10 hours of Wii Fit time.

Sasha vs. The Cone

For those of you that aren’t aware, Sasha underwent surgery on the 4th of this month to remove a few tumors on her right leg; the largest being the size of a golf ball. Well, it’s more than two weeks after her surgery and she’s back to her old spunky and yet Bitchy self again – diving down the stairs, humping Romeo, and trying to act tough.
She wants that cone OFF!

I’m pleased with My Current Stats – down 1lb. and a quarter inch on my arms, as well as waist. These two areas on Me consistently drop water/bodyfat first so, I will use the “Current Stats” (Measurements / Bathroom Scale) as the most accurate tracker of my progress.

My Wii Fit Stats are virtually unchanged and, that’s fine – it’s still early in the game!
Rather than following the Workout Schedule that I laid out last Saturday, I decided to use the Wii Fit as my only source of exercise this week — just to see for myself if it could provide me with enough intensity to produce significant results, and/or variety to keep me motivated. Well, it did keep me motivated and, it might just be the perfect little thing to help you get more active too.
Okay! Well, according to my Favorites List on the Wii Fit (located in the Training section) my top 3 activities are – No.1 Basic Run, No.2 Advanced Step, No.3 Hula Hoop. With that said, although those exercises were played more times than others, I actually devoted as much time (if not more) to Free Run, Free Step, and Super Hula Hoop. The Free Run/Step both can played in a constant 30 minute session – while the Super Hula Hoop currently allows for a 10 minute session (5 minutes per direction).
I exercised on the Wii Fit everyday since last Saturday – getting familiar with the games over the weekend, then really using it to break a sweat during the week. Most of my workout sessions were 45-60 minutes at a time, yesterday (friday) was the shortest of the week – with only one 30 minute session of Free Step. I had a short Wii Fit workout Friday because I noticed some pain in my knees and hips. I’m certain that that impact from running in place is what caused it. I should have known better!
Although the Wii Fit is a wonderful tool that motivates me to get off my butt and move around, I will need more variety to keep myself from getting bored. As well as, low impact cardio (like the elliptical) and some weight training if I am going to succeed at meeting my goal. And so today is my Off Day to relax and, Sunday will begin a new week; one that incorporates a wider variety of exercises – weights, cardio, and of course….the Wii Fit!!! *it’s just too much fun*

At the start of the 2008 New Year I made the commitment to get my training and eating habits back on track. So, with the help of Dave Palumbo’s professional guidance, I lost 20 pounds by the time Summer arrived. *yippeee* But that’s not the whole story. During the summer I overindulged in Good Friends, Good Food, and Good Fun. And well, all of that “goodness” ended right back…..on my ass! *lol* With that said, it’s time to Get Back On Track!!!
